Rain Botas

We bought Sofía a pair of rain botas.  She loves them and clearly they are worth every penny that we spent.  She asks for her “botas” instead of shoes ALL the time.  I wish I could record her saying “botas”.  The T and the S are not so strong and the entire pronunciation that she has right now is all very guttural and slurred together.  She runs through agua and mud and crunches on leaves with the botas.  I am rather jealous and would like a pair for myself!

  1. It's these little anecdotes that make life worth living, don't ya think? I feel the same way about recording Kaya's words that she says, especially the ones that just sound SO cute!
I appreciate your efforts, especially those that you record for the rest of us to share. I really enjoy following your blog, perhaps in part because I feel like we have so much in common. I also worked in education for a long time, and now that I've had our daughter, see myself dreaming about ALL sorts of different things I could do with our lives. I also decided to dedicate my energies to teaching Kaya German, which I am excessively thankful for. AND I think my husband is the BEST man in the whole world, too...I guess that's where we differ, because clearly we can't BOTH have the BEST, right? =)
And like you, I find language fascinating, and I'm excited to share that passion with you (and so many others out there, too).
Thanks, once again, for sharing all that you do...with me, with us, with everyone!
    Tamara
